Tutorial: Fusing Plastic Bags for Mixed Media Projects

Hi, Mary here! Today, I come bearing a fun technique for up-cycling simple, plastic grocery bags.

(Direct link for feed readers.)

I’m still amazed at the texture on the resulting sheets of plasticky goodness :-) And this stuff cuts and stitches like BUTTAH!! Love.

Just do me a solid get your iron on in a well ventilated area. ‘Nuff said.

Okay, I’m out like shout!

xx Mary

  2. Sorry about that Danielle, it’s fixed now! :D Thank you!

  3. this is freaking amazing, Mary!! Question: how hot is the iron? i.e what temp do you set it on?

  4. HOT!! I put mine all the way up :-) I’m sure a gentler setting would get the job done, it just may take a bit longer.

  5. Brilliant, thank you!

  6. Love the texture on the finished piece, looks brilliant!

  7. I think this is wonderful. Can you show us some of your finished projects with this. Very cool!
