BE
Hi everyone, this is Amy! I decided to do a “one little word” for 2013 and while in past years I’ve chosen “fly” or “achieve” or loftier words (that I have, ahem, forgotten later), this year I chose “BE.” I want to learn to enjoy being where I am. Reaching for goals is good but….learning to love you for what you are, not what you can become, is a really great accomplishment in my mind. “Be” is also so Zen.

I started with cardstock layered with book pages and then swiped on a layer of gesso. Once that was dry, I sprayed the entire page with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Sand, then spread it with a credit card. I messed up my stenciling of the word “BE” but recovered it by just gessoing over the top…it’s like a magic eraser. “Poof”……….mistake gone. I really wanted a larger font, but then used the Cocoa Daisy arrow stamps to draw what I thought was needed attention to the word.

After layering up my papers, I embellished using plenty of goodies from the Money Shot kit, including that great View Master Reel, some GA Washi tape with Cameras and vintage film. I just love the embellishment part….such a treat.

Did you choose a word for 2013? I’m curious to know what yours is…I’m glad I will remember mine this year, because I preserved it on a layout.
Peace, Love, and Gauche….Amy
