First up, ME!!!!!!!!
So here’s the truth: stamps hate me. It’s like they know I can’t use them properly so they fuss and pout and never seem to do what I want them do. BUT I have to say that playing with these stamps was a LOT of fun. I love Alchemist Lori’s idea of creating backgrounds for finishing later. I have very small amounts of time to get crafty so having something on hand already half finished is a God send! So that’s what I did for the background of these ATCs:
And this was SO easy to do! All I did was cut a piece of scrapbook paper down to ATC size, misted here and there with multiple colors and then I used the Four Gears, A “Babe”, Film Strip, Old Script and Crow stamps. Done and done!
Next is Alchemist Marilyn!
For this, I chose #4752 Toasting Skeletons from 100 Proof Stamps. I used fabric from the Limited Edition Halloween Mixed Media Color Kit as the background for the tag since I thought the brocade-style design fit the stamp perfectly. I then took one of my pre-punched ATC pieces that came from the same misted cardstock I used for EEK and stamped my skellies onto it using Black Archival Ink, coloring their clothing and bones with pencils (use a light hand with the white for the bones). Orange fiber frames the card and keeps the edges from being so sharp. Bling is courtesy of the same Limited Edition Halloween Kit and I dug around and found some appropriately colored fiber to finish off the tag. LOVE the toasting skellies!
We want to thank the entire team over at 100 Proof Press for letting us take over the stamps and for creating their awesome projects using Gauche Alchemy products.
Have a great weekend everyone!
And don’t forget to…
Go glue something awesome onto some awesome something!
