Wall Art That Packs a Punch!
Happy Friday! Scraps, here, with some kick-ass art from Alchemist Peg!
Peg: This project is for my art room wall, a little affirmation.
I found the paper napkin in my GA stuff and just knew I had to make a feature piece of it!
Starting with white ouchless cardboard and mists, stains, inks, and some freestyle machine stitching I created a background. I used a piece of lace to keep it feminine and then loaded up the ephemera from the It’s All Gravy, Baby! brown mixed media colour kit over a strip of star punchinella.
I found the feather in my leftovers box. Now all she need is a black shadow box frame.
Oh, where to start? There’s just so many fun things going on here–the stitching, the button over the feather, the contrast of the punchinella and the lace–that it’s hard to pick one thing to focus on. And yet the message is clear: we all have power inside us, how we use it is what’s important. I love that this is hanging on your wall, Peg.
Some of us are more likely to find scribbled notes or random phone numbers on a napkin, an affirmation is a nice change of pace.
Happy Crafting!
