Good Morning!  Marilyn here with Guest Alchemist Ashli’s latest layout.  Purple is her favorite color and she uses it with great aplomb in her latest undertaking.  So without further ado or to-do, here’s Ashli!

I love purple. In fact, my blog is even called Purple Mailbox.  That is how much I love that color!  But, for some reason… I find it SO challenging to scrap with!  Why is that?  I haven’t figured out the answer to that question yet, but what I have figured out is that it remains a challenge.

And, the fabulous ACME kit contained this piece of purple Hambly paper.  Oh my.  It is lovely, isn’t it?  But, I have to admit… it had me a bit stumped.

OK, not to worry!  I love a good challenge and after a bit of pondering, I decided that those circles would be super fun to cut out and do some messy stitching on!

And indeed they were!  That worked out well, yes?

Oh yes, indeed!  And, combined with a lovely piece of vintage French sheet music from the kit…

We have the perfect layout to showcase Dance Camp!

Yay!  Inspiration found in unexpected and challenging materials.  That, my friends, is a beautiful thing!

Outstanding Ashli.  Now for some reason, the song Dancing Queen keeps running through my head.  Hmmmm must be all the purple (symbolizes royalty) and the cute little girls in their tutus!  Thank you once again for showing us just how versatile the Acme kit can be.
